Welcome to Nationwide Children's Hospital Sports Medicine

Our staff of doctors, athletic trainers and physical therapists are trained to provide age-appropriate care for our patients. We emphasize the importance of early injury recognition and treatment in order to prevent recurring injuries. In addition to treatment, we partner with parents and coaches to focus on injury prevention, conditioning and age-appropriate activities.

Nationwide Children's Sports Medicine is proud to be a partner in the 20th Anniversary of The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA). Described as "an adventure on two wheels with 2,999 of your closest friends," the GOBA route features a different part of Ohio. 3,000 cyclists from all across the country ride an average 50-mile route each day through some of Ohio's most scenic areas. Nationwide Children's Sports Medicine has recently partnered with Team Ohio FC, a Dublin, Ohio-based soccer club. Our staff will provide sports health and athletic training services, and educational resources on injury prevention and nutrition to coaches and parents/families. Researchers in the Center for Injury Research and Policy (CIRP) at Nationwide Children's Hospital have published a study on children who were treated in hospital emergency departments for gymnastics-related injuries. According to the findings, on average nearly 27,000 injuries are reported each year. Read the news release to learn more.
